My name is Gary Millar. I am the sole proprietor and owner of Millar Architecture, a full service architectural firm specializing in residential design for new homes, remodels and additions. The company was formed in 1995, as a partnership with my father, Don Millar. It has been under my exclusive control since 2002.
The design philosophy at Millar Architecture is to provide design services that are sensitive to the needs of the client. When you look through the photos of my past work in the "Gallery" pages of this site, you will see that there are a variety of architectural styles represented. This is because no two clients, existing home, or building site are alike. The goal of every project is to meld the desires of the individual with the physical properties of the building and site, being careful to respect budgetary limits. My design solutions for your project will be based upon your building type, and your taste and resources. My role as your architect is to guide you toward architecturally appropriate building forms and detailing. The principles of green building design have always been important to me. I have spent my career improving existing homes. Those improvements always include upgrades to the building systems that contribute to an energy efficient and comfortable living environment. |

Of course there is more to life than architecture! My goal is to be creative in all things that I do. Taking time to enjoy music, and the outdoors has given me inspiration and insight that I am always trying to integrate into my work.
